I'am looking for a 6.5 thats been quality rebuilt. Most of them fall between 4000$ to 9000$. But 3000 grand for a NEW one is down right cheap.... Whata think????

I poked around their site a little more and here's a more detailed price list:

6.5L DIESEL ENGINE (NON TURBO) $2,595

    6.5L DIESEL ENGINE TURBO ENGINE (TOP/SIDE MOUNT ) $2,795

6.5L DIESEL ENGINE NON TURBO COMPLETE $3,750

6.5L DIESEL ENGINE TURBO COMPLETE $3,950

6.5L DIESEL INJECTION PUMP (Unbeatable Price) call

And I'm willing to bet that "complete" doesn't include an alternator, water pump, PS pump, etc..... Maybe you could give these guys a call and get some more info. I also don't find their 1 year warranty on a "brand new unit" to be too comforting.

Well you asked, so here it is.

I think that's a WHOLE LOT of money for one of the dog ass slowest engines anyone ever slipped into a light duty truck. In my opinion, it would be one BAD investment@! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Last time I rode in a truck equipped with a turbo 6.5, it wasn't "dog ass slow". In fact we took two heavy duty mountain passes towing about 5500 lbs and the rig cruised just fine.

Are you sure you're not thinking of a 6.2, Laketex?
