Didn't see any neil young on the list.. to me, cortez the killer ought to be right up there.. oh well.. arguing about best guitar solos is like trying to defend your choice of favorite color..

    good choices,but one is missing!..

I only know about 75% of the songs they listed--many ARE great guitar solo's,but I can't believe Carlos Santanna isn't on the list!...his "Black Magic Woman" and many of his other songs are just plain heaven for a guitar picker to listen too!...

    he's #31!..

Ted is #31 on the list!.."Stranglehold"...

I didn't click on the "top 100" list the first time--but still no Santanna!..was glad to see some Allman Bros. and Areosmith songs made the top 100 list though.."Train Kept a Rollin"or "Dream On"is probably their best, but "Walk This Way" was the one they picked..hmmph!..

And they totally forgot Chet Atkins,Jerry Reed, and all the other country guitar greats too...

I'm pretty sure that she-man playing the tamborine in the Led Zepplin video is currently enjoying a rare tube-steak in his fudge factory... :eek1: :eek1:

I'd like to see the whole 100

Cool!!! Rock n' Roll's most under-rated band finally gets some of the recognition it deserves....:thumb:

FWIW, I noticed that Floyd's "Have a Cigar" isn't on the list. We cover that song, and I can attest to the fact that the solo in that song is extremely technical, and rocks to boot!!!

Hate to disagree there my Canuckstan friend, and they are under-rated, but no way....

Kings X is by far the most under-rated rock band ever... I have no doubt of that... Every pro musician I've ever heard asked raves about them.. Probably the most talented trio I've ever heard...
