hey guys, this weekend i installed my new seats
i scored these seats for only 200$
their from a 2000 silverado
little modifications were done, the front bolts bolted right up, and in the rear i welded bolts to a heavy guage steele to extend the seat mounts.
i got pics of the seats installed, but the pics of the seats' modifications are coming soon

That's great! There's the 40/20/40 front I want! Where did you get yours at? When you say the fronts mounted right up, was that using your original brackets, or barckets the seats came with? What about brackets for the middle seat/console? Does the passenger seat slide forward or tilt? Can you get some pics of the passenger seat opening to the rear?

I would REALLY like to see a write-up on this! Were they from a 2000 Silverado p/u? Extended cab? I WANT THE DETAILS, BUD!!

Where did you get those seats? Can you get another set? That looks great.

It is just as much fun to build it as it is to bash it

Hey Confederate, I noticed that you have a couple pics of how to re-align a door. What was wrong with your door that you were able to fix it by doing what you did? On my driver door at the top where it curves, it rubs on the rain gutter. I have tried adjusting it several times and still am not pleased. Do you think this would help my situation?
Thanks
Ross

the new seat brackets bolt into the stock holes on the front
the center seat does fold up to be a console.
the seats slide forward enough to have room to get out, just as much room as before.

Really nice!!! I'd love to do a swap like that. It looks like they are a bit wider then the stock setup from the pics, how much wider is it? You should do a write up of that and how you did the passenger seat so it folds up and slides.

Good deal for the seats too... much better then aftermarket prices.

the swap was a lot easier than i thought, its REALLY easy if u have the tools and supplys
all we used was a set of sockets, tape measure, pencil, steel plate, heavy guage bolts, welder [little welding is needed] and a drill
as for how wide hey are, the oly place i can notie it is frm he back to the side panel, cause now there alot les room than b4
any othr questions?

all you need to get the seats to slide.. is the extended cab seats... our 99 had dual "easy access" seats. so GM calls them

Sweeeet!![IMG] That is exactly what I'm doing for my Suburban. I have a 2000 Silverado LT, and after driving it for a year now, I decided that I had to have those seats in the 'Burban. They are soooo comfortable; you really get spoiled.

It's nice to see that they fit well and weren't too difficult to swap in. Thanks a bunch for posting those photos. Now all I have to do is find a set at that kind of price that you got...

gotta love a girl that looks good, likes monster trucks, and loves to go 4wheeling
the only down side is she wants a honda civic

Conf,

Those seats really look nice.....but it DOES start a "cycle" doesn't it?......Hmmmmm the seats are really nice, but I never really noticed how old the carpet looks now.....maybe I should replace that, AND maybe do the headliner too? Well the doorpanels aren't going to match if everything else is NEW so I'd better get some of those too...... HA HA HA [IMG]

Maybe you've just opened "Pandoras Box"? [IMG]
