I am saving up to get a 14 bolt rear, and i want 4.56's. ok can someone PLEASE give me an accurate price for the rear axle with gears and a locker?!?!?!? And if you quote a price, could you tell me where to get it??? how much money do i have to save up for it? i got a head ache with santa barbara, this preppy little town has one 4x4 shop and bubba says their gonna rape me on the price, so what gives, i thought it was a good price for the d60+14+detroit+geared like i want it /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Here in Rancho Cordova you can get 14BFF for a $100-300 and maybe $800-1000 all day long!

2K is about right here in Cali for that matching set. Sure, I can find a 14b in Pick N Pull anyday but never with 4.56's and a locker. Say you pick up a junkyard 14b and regear it and lock it, you'll end up spending about $800. A D60 usually goes for 1200 with 4.10s and open so doing the math, 2000 sounds right. I know it sucks and its a rip-off but lets face it, it ain't gonna get any cheaper. Of course there are those lucky ones that find a rusted out K30 from some old farmer and trade it for a case of beer or something like that. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I paid $2000 for mine. Same gearing, rear had a detriot and disc brakes. Front has a hydro set up for it though. That's what you are going to pay just about for a set. Sucks but hey what are you going to do? Not like many of us will ever encounter that old lady selling her now deceased hubby's parts for cheap because she doesn't know what she has...

$2,000 for that set is worth it.

    in the bay area:
    D60 $1000-1500 open
    14BFF $150-300 open
    Detroit $307

so i would say the set is middle of the road. if it is all in good shape, its a deal. really ruff shape, pass.

4.56 is a good gearing, the detroits last forever so if it ran with it in, slap it in and flog it.
