The midwest crawler crew had thier mini crawl comp. last night. What a blast. My Son took first place in the Stock divisions and beat his old man out. Of course I have to take some credit, after all I was pit crew for three trucks. Check out the results over at

    www.midwestcrawler.com

there was lots of food on hand and of course some beverages. Most importantly lots of good company.

They are modified "Crawlers" found at most Wal-Mart stores for $6.00.

Heres a pic of my Mini Crawler with some mods.

I shaved the diffs, trimmed the fat off the frame, installed belt tensioners (lockers), penny beadlocks, removed the extra plastic, extended the rear wheelbase, made cantilever shock mounts and grooved the tires.

They run off a motor with gear reduction and are powered by AAA batteries. Look in the section where all the cars and trucks are. Box is about 6x6x4 or so.

They are called Xtreme Rock Machines.
