    i have a 82 jimmy that has a 6 lift with 3/4 ton running gear it has a 350 trans with 208 case i want to swap all this stuff out into my 78 has anyone done this ?

  2. if you keep the the th350/208 combo together you shouldn't have a problem. the 350s that had 208s behind them have a longer output shaft then the ones that had 203s behind them.

    ...and as far as bolting it in you won't have any problems. The crossmember holes (on the frame)will most likely have to be redrilled farther back.
