I'm putting my 205 back together and I'm having trouble with the intermediate shaft and the shims. I have the technical info that states that there should only be 0.003 to 0.005 inch. I have about and 1/16 to 1/32 inch with 5 shims. So do I need to buy more shims?

BTW These aren't new parts. I only took the case apart to have the input hole bored out for a T400 input bearing.

I think I just figured it out. I should start pulling shims out to get the bearings in tighter?

Yes, take shims out to tighten the bearings.
