Hit a gravel side road today, reached down and threw it in 4H. Interesting way my np208 feels when shifting into 4H. It's seems a bit reluctant, almost downright tough, then clunks hard when I put it in drive and roll away. Is this right? I'm assuming it's some sort of fork/gear engagement. It take considerable effort to put the lever in 4H.

How does it feel when you shift into 4H when you have it in gear and moving slowly? A lot of times I've found that when shifting into 4H the first time after engaging the hubs, it goes in a little harder if you are in Park. It's always easier if you are in Drive and moving, everything is already rotating and ready to be "locked together".

Build it Bulletproof and take it fishing!

    2nd that--

sounds normal to me, some would say that is the feal of a "solid" engagement. NPF
