what is the difference between the 208 and 241 Tcase?
I saw tom woods driveshaft has a slip yoke eliminator
for the 241. Just thought it would be nice to put the 241
in place of the 208 and get rid of the slip yoke.
    Thanks for your input,
    Bo

Gear ratio is the main difference 2.72 instead of 2.62
The design is fairly similar but not exactly the same.
So parts are not interchangeable but you can swap one for the other. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The 241 is an updated 208.
It has a better oiling setup among other little things.

The 241 has an oil pump. I'm pretty sure the 208 just has a slinger.

What about the speedo? Someone told me the 241 uses VSS
and the 208 uses a speedo cable? Also has anyone used the
slip yoke eliminator on a 241?

Early model 241s are spedo cable with a VSS on the back of the speedometer.. In 1990 they went to an electric sensor on the x- fer case
