Thanks for the heads up Shawn.
Hey, just wondering, are there any 33% off coupons out there for Carparts.com?? For new customers?? I haven't purchased anything from them yet and am looking into a 2WD steering gear box. they sell for $220, but with 33% off, its a good deal. Just wondering, thanks, if not, no worries, Take care.

I did an search on yahoo and altavista (typed: +carparts.com +coupon) and the 33% off coupons I found were all expired. I don't think they're doing those since they're probably loosing their ass. There is other coupons but the 25% coupon is the best deal if you're spending over $150. I just purchased some Z28 slotted rotors for my 99 Pontiac GTP.

Yeah, carparts.com doesn't always have the best prices but for my Grand Prix rotors, nobody touched them with the discount. My Edelbrock alum. heads that I bought through carparts.com was $200 cheaper than Summit or Jegs! It just depends what you're getting. I also ordered some Goodyear gatorback supercharger belts for my grand prix and again, carparts.com was cheaper.

    Shawn,
Is there a cap on that offer. usually it's $100. FYI Fatwallet.com also has good carparts.com coupons.

Nope, no limit. I just tried to buy some Edelbrock Performer BBC heads and it was knocking off $400! Wish I had this coupon when I bought mine.

thanks for the info, that is exactly what I was looking to get is
performer rpm bbc heads. Do you remember what the price was on those heads? and do they bone you on shipping? When I used the 33% off unlimited coupon back in the day they charged me like 11% shipping no matter what the actual
costs were. Not to stray off the subject but are performer rpm
bbc heads definately the sh!t? there are so many heads that
come to mind for bbc. I hear a lot about merlins for the most bang for the buck. what's your take on the situation. thanks for answering all the questions..... Brian

    Re: Crap

The normal price on those heads is like $1650 or something. Summit, Jegs and everywhere else sells them for the same price (around $1600). For something that expensive, it has to pretty nice to impress me. Well, I'm impressed! The ports are like so nice compared to my 049 heads. Edelbrock did a great job makeing these heads, I have no complaints. If you're going for oval, these rect-oval ports are the ticket since they flow a little more but are still a good low-mid RPM head. They also make the rectangle heads too. Check out the dyno on Edelbrock.com. Edelbrock actually makes the GM high performance heads and happen to be the same heads on the ZZ502 and I think the Ramjet 502. Merlins are nice too but with them being cast iron, you have a little more weight and you can't run as much compression with iron as you can alum. I think you can actually go up .5 CR with alum and not have detonation since they cool better. Merlins are going to run $1000, for an extra $200, I'd consider the Edel's. They also make TBI heads which are exactly the same thing but have a smaller combustion chamber. Give Edelbrock a call.
