Posting in here for the local, or close to local guys,,,and gals:p: ,,,

I am in desperate need of a working condition 700r4/4l60 for a '94 2wd 1/2 ton pick-up, going to eventually get the one in the truck rebuilt, but at the moment, i don't have the funding to get this done, just looking for something i can slap in there to get it driveable for alittle while until then,,,

anybody have any leads or have one they want to sell??

I went to a recommended trans shop, and they quoted me $1300, truck towed in, trans rebuilt, system flushed, and two days in the shop.

I am thinkin a used one for the time being, between say $200-500??? :o

    Thanks guys, T.J. :D

A 700R4 won't do in a '94. That should have a 4L60E, computer controlled trans. :( Replace it with a 700R4 and the ECM will have a fit.

Look for a big harness going to the side of the trans. I think it goes into the passenger side. My '94 Sub has a 4L60E.

yeah i'll have to look, i am not saying i don't believe you, i just don't remember a big harness when i did the fluid change awhile back, i thought it only had the little 4 prong thing for the torque convertor lock up.
