Ok I found a 2WD steering box today. Remanufactured never used. The guy doesn't know what year it was for. How do I tell the difference between the two different types. I have an 89, but I have lines for a 78 is it possible to just use the older lines on mine to use the older box?

What do you guys think this is worth by the way?

    Thanks

I paid 45 bucks for mine and a core charge. They wanted 75 at the Jyard I was at but nobody had bought one in like ten years and they had 50-60 in the yard. Don't know about the lines.

you can swap lines and fitting in back of pump so you can use whichever,
80 is when fittings style changed to O ring type

just look in the ports on the box and see if is flared type seat or O ring type,

or try screwing in a flared 3/8" line end from something into one of the ports and see that the line is not loose when the flare nut is tight, if line doesnt move around with the nut tight then youll be good to go
