Badges still say K5, but they're C10. Pretty sure they were gone by the time of the R/V.

from what i read I think they stoped production on the 2wd blazer in 83. So they never made a R1500 blazer?

Yeah, the R/V was for 87-91, so, yeah.

Just call it a 2WD FS Blazer.

True true...although i think the last year for a 2wd was 1982. I currently have a 79 in very ruff form and a 78 i drove home a week or so ago....no comments from the peanut gallery aaron....

You get more Blazers, I'll stick with less. I just want to have all of my trucks RUNNING ;)

And yes, 1982 as the last year of the 2WD FS Blazer/Jimmy. 1983-1991 models were all four wheel drive.

How hard would it be to convert a 4wd to 2wd? the 2wd's are hard to find around here. I have a 83 c1500 truck with no body that i could use for the conversion.

If you have a donor truck it should be easy. Lots of rivets, but the frame might already be drilled for them.

A lot of the 1st gen blazer guys have turned perfectly good 4x4's into 2wds because the 1st gen 2wd blazer isnt exactly a common creature. Check out www.67-72chevytrucks.com

I have a '73 2wd that was originally a 4x4. I bought it with the intention of putting one of Fabtech's long travel kits on it and fiberglass fenders. Now that they've discontinued that lift, I plan on doing a custom coil over setup if I don't sell it first.

There is an '82 (I think) 2wd for sale here in Pensacola. It's brown with a black top. From far away it looks good but I dont know what he wants for it.
