The way I would do it: Sell it and buy a 4wd one. I think it's possible, but too much hassle.

You could buy a good 4x4 frame and T case and put all the missing stuff on it from your 2wheel drive. I think it would be way to expensive and time consuming to put in a front axle on your current blazer.

I have been watching a guy trying to convert a 'burban from 2 to 4. It's been 3 years and it's still a mess. The frames are different, the body mounts are set higher on the 4x, and on and on. Buy a 4x4 unless you enjoy building more than wheeling.

Some people place a premium un the 2x4's. Try to sell it and see what you would be able to get. Then you can buy a ready-made 4x4.

I am in college Station what are you asking for the frame and what all is on it?

  10. Please don't destroy a 2wd blazer these things are to hard to find now plus its not worth the swap because 4wd blazer are so easy to find.Your talking alot of time to do this type of conversion with all the swaping involved.Get you a 4wd and all you have to do is starts wheeling!!LOL
Good luck in whatever you do.

IF IT AINT BIG IT AINT BAD!!!!!!

The 2x4's are somewhat rare, I would sell it to a 2x4 person and make their day, and then go buy a 4x4 which are everywere. You could sell the 2x4 for more money than a 4x4, then with the extra money after you buy a 4x4 you could buy a lift or wheels.

I agree with everyone else, just sell the 2wd. Buy the chassis from Rocko, and put another body on it. What would be really cool is to get an older chevy truck body and mount it on the Blazer frame. It's not that big of a deal, plus the older chevy 4x4 trucks are getting hard to find. And then buy a Blazer 4x4 for an everyday vehicle. Just my 2cents.

    Hey Crisscross..
It wasn't hard to swap the body at all.. Just had to make sure everything was unbolted.. and all extra weight removed.
As for the 4th weekend.. I have my Reserve Drill.. at Fort Hood.. I have to be there.. but I get off around 3.. So if you could be here around 4 or 4:30 that would be great.. or You could just get here whenever.. and Cheri should be here. I do have pics of the frame.. I'll dig them out and send them to you. As for a tub... I have the old tub on the frame now.. Don't know if you'd be interested in a 82 Blazer tub with bad floor pans...
I'll remove it if your not interested.
    Talk to you later..
