3/4 and 1/2 ton spindels

    3/4 and 1/2 ton spindels...........is there a noticeable difference between them?

    No difference in 1/2 to 3/4 ton.
    The only differnece is 1st or 2nd design.
    1st design goes up to about '76 for D44's
    All 10B's are 2nd design.

    I thought there was large and small spindle - large for 8-lug and small for 6-lug - and then they all became large spindle on the 10-bolts.

    Anyone know for sure?

    I just got told that there are two different backspacings available between the 1/2 and 3/4. I've got both sitting in my drive way, I might have to investigate /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. I know for sure that the bearings and everything else is the same.
