3/4 spring swap

    could i swap the top spring on 3/4 ton springs with a 1/2 ton and fit 52" eyes?

    I don't see why that wouldn't work unless they are a different width.

    What?...Did you break some leaves and have those lying around?

    It might work but because the 56" leaves have a non-centered center pin you might have to drill new holes in them.

    i found a 1971 k20 for 400.00 i only have a little 100 amp crackerjack so i didnt want to move the perches. but i am trying to loose the 30 year sag maybe. i dont know if it will help so i was gonna play with it. the truck has an sm465, np205,d44 with spicer outers(what are theses? besides big), 14bolt sf /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. (ill have to swap for a 14ff) and all the little stuff ineed rearview mirror, knobs ect....
    why is the centerpin offset???????
