Well finished the axle swap. DAM is all I can say, I now have to Master Cylinder Booster and probably the valve too. I will post some pics up later.

Took me about 16 hours total. Let me know if I can help. I will email a list of things you might/or might not of thought about. Also what are you doing for tire/wheels. I put 15x10 on. If you need some I can get Crome mods for 56.00 each with the 8 lug pattern.

Moose, I just ground up some teeth on my 10bolt and now have a junkyard 14bolt(FF) sitting next to my blazer waiting to go in. Not sure what I am in for. Could you possibly give me some hints. Also, did you use wheel spacers, if so what size and where did you get them. I want to use my same tires but can't get 15x10 rims in my type with the 8 lug. Any info you could give my would be great.
thanks Rich

When I installed my 14 Bolt FF, I didnt have to upgrade the MC or Proportioning valve. Brakes work just fine and have done so now for 3 years

I did the same, 3 years now on the 3/4 ton stuff. 1/2 ton front calipers, stock MC and propotioning valve and the brakes work awsome.

Parts I didn't think of were new perches for my 14 bolt. New plates & ubolts front and rear. My Dana44 tube is 1/2" bigger than my dana44 1/2 ton. New cylinders in my 14bolt. New brake lines. And 15x10 chrome mods to fit my new 35" bogger. Any one know about why my 14 bolt is 6" wider than my 12 bolt. Both axles came from a M1008 LB.

Thanks for the list Moose. I emailed you about the wheels and the list a couple of days ago. Don't know if you got it or not. Do you have 16" wheels? Thanks

No. I'm running 15x10 wheels. Had to do some grinding on the front but nothing major.

Hey my 12 bolt just bit the dust and i got a 14 bolt FF siting around. i'm really low on cash. and need my truck up and running again. what all do i need to put in the 14 bolt? from what i can figure is i need new u-bolts and my driveshaft altered to fit. my gears will be diferent. but that dosn't really matter so long as i don't put it into 4wheel drive right? will 15 inch rims fit on a 14bolt FF? there are 16.5 on there now (ugly as hell too). i would still be running a 1/2ton dana 44 up front with 6 lugs.

(man if i do do this its going to be the funky blazer [IMG])

I think The calipers are the same. I have some junk 1/2 ton calipers and I fitted them to my 3/4 ton 44 and they matched up. Only a bit of grinding is necasary.

where can u get 15 inch wheels with the 8lug pattern? i got 16.5 on a 14 bolt FF. i don't want 16.5 no bead locks and 16inch rims are hard to find tiers for. at least thats what i have been noticing latly.

Where can you find those inexpensive 8 lug 15's?....Been looking at the Eaton wheel from National Tire and Wheel...They run $93 for chromy's and the throw on beadlocks for $75 more...white or black only $68...same deal for the beadlocks on those too!!!I have 16.5 now with 38's....want to run some new Claws on some beadlocks and see how many axles I can destroy!....later tater...~CLINT~....
