Ok guys, I plan on going to a Dana 60 some time this winter and would like to know if you think I could get 1,000 for my 44, here is what it has:
(if you were to buy an ARB and have it installed, it would cost over 900.00)

    3/4 ton Dana 44
Almost new ARB air locker (only used 4 times)
    4:10 gears
New driver side ball joints (early this year, other side tight)
    New brakes 1,000 miles ago
    New pinion seal
Mag-Hytec alum diff cover (sell for 235.00 new)
Full steel backing plates, not the half tin ones
    Warn premimum hubs

Man, its worth a grand, but you know how people are, they want everything for free. Maybe throw it on eBay with a high reserve and see what happens? Might even be worth more if you removed the ARB and sold it seperatly!

Most D44s go for $250-$350 bone stock here in Phoenix(depending on gearing and the seller), so I doubt it'd be a real problem to the right buyer (ie: someone with the $ [IMG]). Make a list of what you've got into the dif', how much everything cost, and your sale price next to it. Good luck!

Hey Steve, I'm going D60 also, but lets pretend that if I were going to buy that, (and I do believe its worth well over 1K), I would pay like $700. That's me though, I am a bargainer and like things cheap, like Ken said most people do. But I'm sure there are people out there that will kill for that, like Jeep people.
