3 cylinder Detroit Deisel????

    I have what i believe is a three cyl. Detroit diesel. It's in a '68 gmc long 3/4. it runs, last i checked.
    also had an aluminum Blower in toolbox on truckSTILL IN BOX
    marked detroit what is this thing good for??

    must be a 3-53 or a 3-71, not a bad little noise maker, good pump or sawmill motor, not the best for a truck though.

    Should be good for a suzuki.
    I know some guys that like to put a diesel in their suzuki, they usually use the VW rabbit engine.
    What kind of tranny bolt pattern will it bolt up to?

    not sure the truck has a 5- speed transmission.

    i have a little 3-53 on my ole log skidder its pretty strong and makes alot of noise!! <font color="orange"> </font color> /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

    man way to heavy fo a suzuki, about 500 lbs or more, not to mention 3 ft tall +.
