    hey there all,
i think with some x-mas $$ i'm gonna buy a 3 inch lift for the K5. i want to raise her more later, but while she's a daily driver 3 is enough. i'm looking at the tuff country kit w/ rear blocks. my only question is will i have to add a lowered steering arm too? or just install the lift and drive on?
    thanks!
    peace and happy holidays!

Personally I would add the raised steering arm, you could probably get away without one though. I just like to have my steering as good as it can get for obvious reasons[IMG]
The job of replacing the steering arm has been described here in detail so often it shouldn't be too hard to find in a search. Basically a BFH and hit down, sideways, then hit it some more until the cone washers come out.[IMG]

I have the TC lift and I really like it. I have an all spring lift though. I don't have a raised steeirng arm, and it seems ok without it. Make sure your tie rods and ends are in good condition too. I would recommend all springs, and if you end up doing that, do what Todd 78/87 did, and ge ta 4" for the back, and a 3" for the front, so it will sit level.

    I have a 2.5 in. lift right now,and I didn't change it. I have no problems.......

If it ain't a Chevy, don't raise it up!
