    And no rubbing!!!

How about the inside of the tire on the rear wheel tub? W/O making my track width any wider I can't seem to not rub there, at least it's a smooth spot. Or are you using shallow backspaced rims and/or spacers? TIA.

Those 35's are for daily use, we bought the 37's for play. I don't mind chewing up cheap used 35's with the Detroit on the street.

No rubbing on the rear wheel tub as far as I can tell. I have to totally flex it to see but I think it will clear with no problems. No spacers and the rims are 17x8" with 3 3/4" backspacing.

i'm intrested on how you acheaved this lift and how some poser shots from the side would look. I have 37 inch SSR's and i want to go with about 3 inches of lift also. Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Achieved the lift? Just bolted the springs on. It is a Tuff Country all spring lift. The kit comew with 3" fronts and 4" rears so it sits level instead of having a saggy butt.More pics to come this weekend sometime so I will take some poser shots for you. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I just looked at the pics again and didn't catch it the first time, but have you tried putting one of the front tire on the pile and check for clearance on the inside of the rear tire. Or the 17" rims make a huge diff, which is what I want to know. My real "?": Will 17" rims keep the tire off the wheel tub?

It could also be dependent on what his rear end came out of, my 16x8s standard Backspace with 36x12.5 TSL Radials didn't rub on mine until I flipped overloads and did custom shock mounts. I don't think the 17s are the reason for it not rubbing, I would be willing to bet that his shock mounts are stock thus limiting uptravel.

Kind of what I figgured but you never know. He'll have to put the front up to find out either way.

    Re: 3\" Lift, 37\" MTR\'s, and a little flex

I did have the front up. As a matter of fact when I put the front up the tire flipped up underneith the nerf bar. There was about 44" from the bottom of the nerf to the ground. 35 stood straight up and it was on top of the 35 laying flat. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif When it did that the rear tire was about a foot off the ground and I checked on the opposite side and was not even close to rubbing the inner wheel well. Yes the shocks are in the stock location for now.
