is a 6" lift really that much better and worth the extra cost i also wanna know opinions on 2 versus 4 shock setup

if it dont smoke, guzzle gas or cost lots to fix it aint my chevy blazer.

I would go for a 4" lift and trim the fenders to make the bigger tires fit. 35s still rub with a 6" lift, because they dont fit in the wheel well. As for shocks I would the 2 shock setup. I use to have the four shock setup up front from the factory, and it rode too stiff, so when I lifted it, I got rid of the extra two shocks.

Iv got 6".I like it.It just depends on what you want.I had a 4" lift. With the 4" I didnt need brake lines and the drive lines were ok.With the 6" I needed brake lines ,a front driveline spacer ,and the rear shaft is almost too short.Cost wise ,4" front springs ,shackle flip I think would be the way to go.As for dual shocks I had them on the front for years.I got tired of the harsh ride so I went to singles up front. Now I can tell I have soft ride springs up front.

reddog what springs are you using. My tuff countrys flex alot and make my tires rub. On the other hand my buddies rough country 4" lift with 35s doesnt rub. His suspension doesnt give either. The rough country springs dont articulate, they just pick tires off the groung first, thats why his doesnt rub.

    I ran a 4" susp. 3"body and 33s and I could chew my fenders.With my 6" susp 2"body and 35s I havent rubbed yet.
