As I understand it, NP203 cases have 5 positions ... Hi Loc, Hi, Neutral, Lo, and Lo Loc. Did some earlier Blazers (73-75) have a three position NP203 with only High, Neutral, and Low? If not, which transfer cases had only these three positions?

A 203 that's been converted to part time 4WD may only have the 3 positions. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif But they all left the factory with 5 positions. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Me and t-maxxer here both have frames of the same era, and i know mine has 5 positions (and the tag on the sunvisor explains each of the positions). Joe's has 3 positions (and the tag on the sunvisor, from what I remember, explains just the three)

That's what confuses me so much ... was there a factory 3-position NP203? (The sunvisor did state "FULL-TIME transfer case)

Oh, by the way, check out Bauer's Pit 2003

If it is a 203 then it has 5 positions. Doesn't matter if it has a PT kit or not, still has 5 positions.

maybe a 205, check the visor again, is the lever round all the way down or does it taper into a flat piece???

Its been to long but I think Ford F-100's only had
a Trasfer case with High Range !
If it was Full-time, then maybe High, High Lock, Nuetral

    Hey Joe...

I think your linkage is definitely out of whack. Here's a graphic I found on how to adjust the linkage:

And, your case is definitely a full-time NP203. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif It should have FIVE positions. Here we go:
