Hi,
Would anyone please give me some feedback on a 30 spline rear dana 60 with 4.56 gears and 35" tires setup? Is this setup strong enough for a 79k5?
Thank you
Edited by JoseK5 on 02/07/02 10:28 AM.

I have a friend running a Dodge w/ 39" Boggers. He's got a 30 spline rear 60 with 6.17's and Detroit Locker in it and he's had no problems with his (about 3 years).

I have a Furd rear 30 spline Dana 60.
Moved the perches to bring it up to chevy standards [IMG]

Have 410 gears and a power lock.

Ran it with 39.5" boggers and broke a couple of axles.

Run it now with 44" boggers and I break a couple of axles a year still.

i wheel hard.

I don't think you should have an issue with 35's

A guy in our club is running a rear 30-spline Dana 60 with 4.56 gears and a Detroit. It's on a custom built hydrid with a 350 Chevy, 4-speed, and 36" Buckshots. He wheels it hard, but doesn't abuse it or have a ton of horsepower. He has never broken anything on the axle.
