    How can I tell if it's a 305 or a 350 under my 85 jimmy?

    There are no labels.

    Thanks

If you take off the distributor cap and rotor the ignition control module is underneath. It is normal a light color and is semi u shaped. If its a 350 it will have four electrical connections. If its a 305 it will have only three. I havea 86 and with a 305 and that holds true for mine. It's the only way I could tell you unless you know the casting number. The casting number is on the bottom of the block somewhere. IF you post that someone, nyself included, could tell you for certain whats in it. hopethis helps.
