    31\" or 32\" tires, Which?

I currently have 31's with 3:73 gears. I will use the jimmy mainly to tow a 19 ft travel trailer. If I go to 32's will I lose much power? Will it be noticeable? I like the looks of 32's better and more clearence for the trail, but will be towing cross crountry next summer. Any one eles tow with their k5s? What are your setups and hows it tow? Thanks guys.

Going from 31's to 32' should not affect performance at all. It will drop your engine rpm less than 100 rpm's at around 60 miles per hour. You should be fine.

Yeah, going with the 32s shouldn't show any noticeable power loss at all. I say go with what you think looks best!

I have towed with my Blazer (sand rail trailers, sea doo trailers, uhauls, etc). It is not the IDEAL setup for towing (because of the relatively short wheelbase), but it really isn't bad at all. I would suggest maybe getting some add a leafs or stiffer rear shocks if you plan on towing a lot, as my rear was so soft it would tend to really sag a lot when trailering, and would bottom out pretty easily.

My 83 has a towing package and I've gone to 32's, which the tire guys say I can run without any gear change or worry about rubbing and haven't noticed any changes at all. Have run larger tires for 10 yrs. now. It's a 350/700R.

Generally, its less than 1" difference. Alot of 31"s measure out at 30.9" and 32"s at 31.7". I wish I would have got 32"s instead of my 31"s but I'm building this thing to be fast and to drive everyday, so I guess I can say I have a micron more of performance, lol.

    Yeah go with 32's....I run 31's and I tow a 5200lb trailer easy with a sm465 3.08's setup.......I'd switch to 32's in a heartbeat...plus remember that a 10inch rim will make the tire a bit shorter also

What? You think the hole is too deep? Lemme see...

Ditto, I have 32's and 3.73, and it tows well enough for me. The difference between my old 31's and 32's is basically nothing performance wise.
