    33-12.50-15\'s on 15x12\'s?

Since I'm trying to keep my budget low on lifting my Blazer, I'm going to place additions as needed. Right now I have 33-12.50's on my Blazer with a 4" lift. I plan on going to a 6" lift and 35" Boggers, but for now I'm going to go ahead and lift it and leave the 33's. I was wondering if it would be safe to run the 12.50's on the 15x12's? I just plan on getting the lift and wheels, then the tires. I just need the input. Thanks guys.

If you run a 12 inch rim with a 12.5 tire it will come off the rim easily, leave your bead exposed to damage, you will lose the bead easily and the outsides of your tires will wear a lot faster than the middle. If it is for a very short period of time and you are not going to wheel it you may be ok, but 12 inch rims on half ton running gear is hell on bearing and front end parts, I would stick with 10's if I were you. That said it is your choice, good luck. T

I thought I was wrong once,
    but I was mistaken

Ok, that's basically what the guys at a local tire shop said. I am just having trouble deciding if I should run 15x12's or 10's. I plan on going to the 16/35-15 Bogger and want to run the 12's, but they'd work with a 10" wouldn't they?

Wasted a lotta years busting tires...If ya really hafta run the 33's on 12's I'd use bead sealer and keep em' at max pressure for extra insurance. If ya run with 10's and the Boggers keep in mind that they'll only be over by 3 inches a side, not TOO terrible. Especially if ya run rocks and mud..the tucking in of the rim helps keep mud outta the bead and protects the rim from rocks. Also less likely to pop a bead if aired down.

I was just thinking, my friend is running 12.50's on 15x12's. They are really maxed out and it's kind of scary too!! Ok, if I put the 12.50's on my new rims, I'm not going to go wheeling or anything until I get my new tires. Thanks again guys.

Wouldn't it make your tires look like those things you see on the low riders? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I can't beleive you speakith those kind of words heiya! Lowrider IS NOT in my vocabulary. hahahaha

It would only be for a month or so. Unless someone has a set of 15x? 8-lug wheels that I can use till I get my other ones. I'd really like to just put my tuck out of commision and sell the 10 bolts and tires/wheels, then I would have a little bit of a better jump on getting my new stuff.

I am running 15x12s with 35x16x15 boggers on my 88 with 10 bolts front and rear. I do some crazy mudding and trailriding with my truck and havent had any problems with the front end.(knock on wood) I have been running them for about 7 months now. I dont think he would have much of a problem running 12s on 1/2 ton stuff right now.

I myself have an '88 K5. On the half ton stuff.......TOO LATE! I have purchased a D44 front and 14FF rear. Don't have them in my posession yet, but will shortly. How do the Boggers do on the road as far as noise and ride? I love the sound of the tires and want them to hummmmmm like none other!
