    33\'s no lift?

Has anyone tried running 33's with no lift? I have a 76 K5 and I am eventually going to get a 4 inch, but I need tires now. If anyone has tried this please post a response thanks alot.

    If in doubt, gun it.

33's on my '89 with no problem for 3 years, with lots of wheeling, no rock-crawling flex-madness.

I have BFG 33 x 10.5's AT's on my 1990 no problems. Other than needing to get rid of my 3.08's.

Before I got my lift I ran 33x12.50 BFG's on my 85' Blazer they fit fine. Just don't plan on flexing out any, and watch out for turns that have a curb or a little incline cause the will rub. I tore out the side tread of one of my BFG's 2 weeks after I got them by just climbing up a muddy trail.
33x12.50's look mighty funny with a 6 inch lift.

I'll agree with that one... my brand new 73 K20 has a 6 inch lift, and some baby 33's under it....

I ran 33's on my C20 2wd suburban with minimal problems.... just had to take the corners slower to keep from hitting the fenders on the front tires. also, due to the offeset of the rims I had, when I would hit a dip har, I'd hear the rears hit the top of the fenders... I meant to `fix' that by hammering the lip of the fenderwell in, but ended up taking the 33's off to get my acceleration ability back.

    Re: 33\'s no lift?

I have been running 32x11.50s for a couple of years before installing my lift. I only got rub on cornering with any suspension compression. It also has to do with the size of your rims and the backspacing. I have been running 15x10 rims which causes the tread to stick out a little wider as well. There is no way I could have run 33x12.50s on my 15x10 rims without a lift and not expected some consistent tire rub on cornering.

My friend ran 33x12.50s on 15x10.5 aluminum slot rims forever and they never rubbed.
