I went to look at a '79 K5 that was for sale by my house. The owner claimed the truck used to be diesel and a 350 was put in it. My question is when were 350 blocks painted orange? I heard it was the late '60s.

In GM trucks "Chevy Orange" was used until 1976, then in 1977 they went to the Corporate blue.

Even though the original 400 in my '77 GMC Sub was blue, the 454 that replaced it is CHEVY ORANGE!!! Gotta love the color!!!!
