I have a 350 HO with Vortec heads and Flow Tech headers. I need new header gaskets for the side of the engine.

What shape are the exhaust ports on the heads?

Round or D shape. I have the headers off, but I can't tell if they would be considered round or D shape. What shape are regular 350 ports if they are different from the vortec ones. Thanks guys!

Same port size, same location, same exhaust manifold pattern as other SBC's. Beefy picture, just wait for it to load www.dorianyeager.com/index2.html
Why insist on counting when the ring gear has the tooth counts stamped in?

Is that considered Round or a D shape? I could see it as either. The gaskets in Summit depend on that piece of info. Thanks!

I used afterburner flowtech heads that were specific to the year of my k5, and not to the vortec heads. fit was great, and no real problems...

I have "D" port on my heads, aluminum off of a vette. I havne't looked at the Vortec to know what they look like. The "D" looks like it is lying on its back with the rouded part at the top of the head. I used circula 1-5/8" primary Hedman headers and they cover the whole port. Couldn't find a 4x4 or truck header with the D port, and didn't look into shorty headers cause I didn't want them.

Never dealt with anything besides these type ports, have to say these are round. The D ports from what I remember, very much resemble a D, with a significant vertical portion.

When you see a set of heads with the "D" ports, you know it immediately. They are indeed shaped like the letter D. [IMG] Mine are from an '87 'vette, attached to the factory 'vette mini-headers.
