I posted this earlier and didn't get any response, so I thought I would try again in prime time. I would like to get a little more hp out of my '90 TBI 350. I would like to know if anyone has added a cam, intake, headers, or chip, or any combination that they thought really improved their hp and torque without breaking the bank. I don't have any maintenance records on my engine, but it does have 140k on it, doesn't burn any oil between changes and runs strong.

All I can say is what I have seen from the chips. Absolute waste of money. Thats from the G-Tech, but in actuality, that thing works very well, and is extremely accurate. I don't know why you couldn't do a set of Vortec Heads, unless there is no Vortec TBI intake yet. And of course, unless emissions will kill you. A GOOD set of headers is probably the best bang for the buck, followed closely by the heads. The cam is probably ok as is now, since the factory cams tended to be focused on low end, which is what us non truck racers want anyway.
