I have the possibillity of getting a 350 (in a 79 burb) with 100K on it for around 600.00. I will have to take everything. The motor is strong but needs a flywheel. Are there any housing problems in regards to boltup. Also can I use the flywheel off of my tired 305? Any other parts that may be worth salvaging from this rust bucket?
    any assistance would help.

The engines are exactly the same, their only differences are internal, so it'll bolt on with no problems. I don't know if you can use the flywheel from the 305, though. There could be some balancing issues.

I also think the price is too high. You can buy a NEW GM Goodwrench 350 engine for about $1200.
