does any one know whata 350 non-lock tranmission is?
In the later years of the TH350 they put in a lock up torque converter. A non-lock is just a regular TH350

It's a 350 with non-lockup converter. GM put out a version of the 350 that integrated a vacuum switch and brake overide that locked up the torque converter. This lowered the rpm's at cruising, but only a couple hundred or so, and helped alleviate heat buildup. I have been told not to install one in a fullsize rig, they were designed for light weight vehicles, but GM installed them in larger vehicles with less than desireable results (namely premature converter failure in fullsize vehicles).
