My Moms 83 300SD's engine finaly gave it up at almost 500K.
Rather than shell out a lot of $$ to rebuild that 5 cylinder rod knocker I would just like to to build one of the SBC's that I have laying around and drop that in with a TH400.
I have seen one or two conversions in mag's and due to my puter being wacked I don't have much net resources.
I was told that there is an outfit that makes engine mounts for Jags and such.
Does anyone have any souces on this type of conversion?
Engine mounts, exhaust that sort of thing.

Here is a good website but they don't have the mercedes conversion but I have seen a Mercedes put onto a toyota 4wd frame with a 350 in it, was frickin kewl (was at one of the Foster Lake events, '98). Jags that run

Wouldn't be that hard really just a little creativity and a good welder /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Heck you can put any motor into anything with a little time and effort, only took us 2 days to squeeze a caddy motor into my blazer.
