Hey, I am trying to buy a 402 big block tommorrow to replace my tired 350, can anybody tell me what i need to do to make this swap...I have a 79 K5 with the larger fan shroud, and I need to get a smaller one, anything else, like brackets and where to get them...Thanks in advance!

the motor mounts from the small block will bolt right on, and it will bolt up to the bellhousing and flywheel from the 350, no changes needed there. the front engine accessory brackets and crankshaft pulleys are different. It depends what year of vehicle the 402 came out of, as to what style power steering pump was on it. the pump on your '79 may not fit the brackets for the 402. it may be necessary to get the brackets from a later truck with a 454 engine, or change the pump to the earlier style to fit the brackets and hook it up to your steering box.
