    35\'s with 2 1/2 lift?? Cutting?

Anybody running 35's with a 2 1/2 inch lift? With swaybar disconnects? How much did you have to cut the fenders? Besides fenders, do they rub anyplace else? Info's greatly appreciated, michael

I had 35" BFG all terrains with a 4" lift for a long time. They would just rub the fenders closest to doors when I was turning and articulating at the same time. No rubbing anywhere else. If I cut off only an inch at the very end of the wheel well I think it would have been fine. But that was with 4" of lift.

    That's because I'm the devil.

You'd need atleast 4" to clear 35's without major cutting.

I'm so poor I can't even pay attention [IMG]

Well i'm running just that on my 83 with a 2.5 and 35BFG's
And yes i had to cut the back fender area and i also did the
front area to because i don't have the front body mount's
in. I think that if did have them in there would'nt be any problem. As it sits right now i dont have any problems.
    Hope this help. Eric

Lost? i'm not lost i'm just disorienated

i used to run my 35s on a 2.5" lift. i ran with my sway bar all the time though. i cut the fenders too. i didn't rub but i didn't have great flex either. i've sense gone up to a 4" and more trimming with no sway bar and i get some contact on full stuff. here's a few pics of when i had the 2.5" lift. with more trimming and my 2.5" i would have been fine. plus my truck drove a lot better with the 2.5 then the 4. hope this helps[IMG]

I'm guessing you want to run 35x12.5's. They will probably not fit with a 2.5". I know a guy that ran 35x9.5's with that lift with no problems, though.

    Re: 35\'s with 2 1/2 lift?? Cutting?

Fellows, thanks for all the input. Any idea what the 35x9.5's are? Same as Q78? I like the sleeper look of skinny tires; I'm running 33x10.5 right now; the only ones I could find in 35 is MT Baja Belted 35x11.5($$$?). Concerns about lift height is garage height (duh!) and center of gravity/stability; wider tires would help here, I suppose. Anyway, wife's going to be out of town, I've got too much to do at work, otherwise I'm bored here in NE, so lifting the truck sounded like a good idea.....michael

Check out the Buckshot tires. they make a 36" that is very narrow. Price is reasonable too.
