    37-12.50 MTR w8\" or 10\" rim?

I was considering getting 37-12.50/15 MTR's for my K30 for road use and light fourwheeling. I was going to get Eaton 8 bolt rims with 3.5" BS so I could mount them on my front D60. Should I get 8" or 10" wider rims?

I've got 39.5/15 TSL's for all those mud run rides. Just trying to save wear on them.

    Thanks
    Walter

i my self am running 8" with my MTR 37"..10 inch will be fine but keep in mind that with your wheels just that much wider it makes the wheel its self prone to more damage if you do rock type of wheelin...the 8" will be protected more by the tire...but like i said...both will do the job..

10's look kewler in my opinion, but more prone to sidewall damage.

Minimal rocks for my application. Mostly mud, snow, street, and forest trails. Sounds like 10" may be the way to go for me.

    Thanks guys -

I run an 8" w/ my 37 MTR's w/4" back spacing. I ran 35x14.5 SSR's w/ a 10" wheel, also w/ a 4" back spacing. They rubbed w/4" of lift & trimmed front fenders. Same lift & fender trim no rub w/ the 37's. The 1/2" less back spacing may cause extra clearance issue's w/ the 10" wheel. Hope this helps. Ed /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

Thw wider the rim, the easier to break a bead. I would recommend decided what the use of the vehicle is first. If almost all is street, the wider rims do look better.

    personally i'd go 8".

i saw 44x19.5 boggers one time on 19.5" wide rims. the sidewalls had NO curve to them! looked kinda cool.
