    38\" spare for 39.5\" tires

Will a 38" spare work for 39.5" tires? I currently have a open front, but will either be locked or welded and my rear has a detroit in it.

    Thanks

    Trey

With any kind of traction aiding device you need to run the same size tires on each axle. I am sure if you were in a serious pinch you could do it just to get you moved.

you could just put the smaller tire on the front and them unlock the hubs.
