    My truck was stolen by a fellow student on friday and he overreved on a cold engine and spun a bearing. so, looks like ill b rebuilding. i was thinkin of goin 383. but i had a few questions. what all is involved in the machining work on the block? how much did u spend on yours? im gonna use the same cam and everything, but am gonna replace the whole bottom end. i was just thinkin bout gettin the cheap kit from summit for like $300

    383 thread theres a thread that explains it perty good. not much to machine. theres definately more and i'm sure someone more knowledable will help ya out. later.
