Ya....never heard of them. What comes in that kit? $475 is very inexpensive for a "kit". /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

It would be interesting to know who makes the generic stuff in kit #1 that are listed as PBM. #1 does not list rod length. I am a bit sceptical, as their sight does not allow a potential customer to browse.

Kit #2 looks fine. I would find a phone no. and have a list of questions ready, and give them a call.

Check with the machine shop you are using, they might surprise you with one of their setups, as this is a popular motor these days.

Whatever you do, with either of these kits, keep an eye on the RPM's, as their is no mention of 'good' rod bolts or even balancing of the rotating assy.

I dont know, if that is legit they are makin NOTHING on it. I mean that crank for the big block (scat cast steel) costs $300. So assume $200 for the smallblock (couldnt find it on the site i looked) and you have 2xx left for all that other stuff. Kidna shady if you ask me.

Dime a dozen parts, a cast Scat crank can be had for 179....

Machine shop cost on those pistons probably is not very much either.

I too am a bit sceptical....

    It can work....

My machine shop wants 650 for the exact same kit minus rods and balancing. I even think some of the parts are PBM I think I might try it and if Im a winner on this the CK5 people will have a place to get good kits...But we all know what happens if Im a looser /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif O yeah and responding to however set something about the rod bolts I am gonna put some ARP rod bolts on it anyways never can be to sure. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
