    just got the fine tuning done on a 91 tbi 383 .runs bitchin ,so much torque .how about going 105 up a 25 degree angle in overdrive!!
    !!
    love the vortech stuff as well as 350hp and 435foot pounds of torque

    what tbi set-up and chip did you use? Did you stay with the stock tbi or go bigger?

    Was it that new Gm HT383? what manifold or other problems did you have? Will it smoke Em??

    I'm getting mine ready to do the same. Did you use a 670 cfm tbi or larger? running headers?

    1990 GMC Jimmy 350/TH700R4/NP241/10 bolts, 4" skyjacker lift, 35x12.50R15 BFG All Terrains on 15x10 AR Baja's, Flowmasters.

    Matt doesn't spend as much time here as most of us. I will talk to him this weekend and try to get some info out of him. I know he used to '90' block and a set of Vortech heads. I do not know what he used for a TBI.

    a peformance built 4L80,not a 700r4.a summit forged crank shoot peened , polished and arp bolts in the stock conecting rods.block was bored 30 over ,keith black forged pistons ,sealed power rings, a near zero deck height with chevy steel shim head gaskets 23 thousands of an inch thick, a double rooler timing chain a crane arms cam ,not a rooler cam.a eddlebrock water pump
    used vortech heads off a 98 truck ,had them studded .some rooler tip rocker arms. a gm peformance parts intake ,vortech to tbi covvershon a msd 6al ignition and a msd coil,malory ignition wires ac delco plugs with a .060 gap .a 454 throttle body with 350 injectors.a custom burned chip from z industries ,a company that specializes in this.oh yeh 9and a 1/4 to one compreshon and runs on 87 octane cant get it to detonate.balanced and blue printed also uses a 350 balancer so you cant tell its a 400 crank.eddlebrock tes headers a car sound high flow cat a 2 chamber 3 inch in with dual 2 1/2 out flowmaster

    man so much more power .now has 70 precent tires in the front and 5 precent in the rear.has a posi and smokes the tires

    built it on my spare time .has all the smog stuff , hooked up

    mpg got alot better about 13 city and 17 highway.this is due to not being into the gas as much to get it going

    messed up the hill was 15 degrees steep not 25
