We pulled the camaro up to dallas with the blazer. The weight we were pulling we estimated as 3000 to 3500 lbs including the trailer. She pulled great! We got about 10 to the gallon, and the motor wasn't straining. The weight was definatly there, but the motor could have done more easily.
So, I is happy with my lil' motor [IMG]!

We do need to get the brakes working on the trailer though [IMG].

It's been lovely, but I have to scream now.

If that was a full size car trailer your weight was way more than 3000 to 3500 lbs. The car alone weighs about 3300 lbs. Most car trailers weigh in around 2000 lbs empty.

I've pulled my wife's Mustang on a fullsize car trailer and it felt every bit as heavy as our 21 foot camper trailer which wieghs in at 5500 lbs loaded with our junk. Mustang = 3200 and the trailer i rented weighed 2100 lbs.

Sweet pics on your web site. Made me jelous. If you don't mind me asking. What did your 383 run you. I've been looking into getting one vs a crate 350. My stock motor was only 165hp, and now 25 yrs later I'm sure it is less, so anything would be an improvement!

I have a stock `90 k5 350 and pulling most off the time a trailer off 9000 lbs. It`s no problem for the K5 when you speed up slowly (otherwise you kill the TH700R4).

    Greetings from Amsterdam,

LOL, I think I'll pass on the 'Burb on the trailer thing...I'm pretty sure my truck would pull it OK, but I doubt the handling would be anything near comfortable!

Pulling a heavy load w/K5 is generally not a problem; however, controlling and stopping can be a real challange.
