    38s with 6\" lift?

a certain member (not naming names, *cough*tim *cough*) is trying to convince me to put 38 x 12.50s or 38 x 13.00 TSLs on my truck with 6" of lift, as opposed to either 36 x12.50s or 35 x 15s. exactly how much hacking am i going to have to do to clear them with 6" of lift?

no problem. I get over speed bumps with no rubbing at all..... /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif.

I have same set up with no rubbing yet, but then again, as experience will tell you hear, all it takes is that one time to make you trim away.

    I would think 38's would be a bit overwhelming for the 10b and 4.10's.... /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

i was thinking the same thing after i posted. from a breakage standpoint, i think i'd be better off with the smaller tires for now. which leads me to another post...

I actually like my 4.10s with 38.5s, guess I'm just weird or something, but with the 465 it seems only a hair tall. 4.56 or 4.88 would be about perfect.

Isn't that why you are going with a D60? Didn't you get tired of snapping your D44(?) like a twig on every outing?

He has a T350, not an SM 465....

Don't get me wrong, I would like 38's too, but I don't like working on my rig that much to own them /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

There's a big difference between a set of 38.5x16 swampers which are at least 38" tall and very heavy and a set of 38x12.50s which are 36.5-37" tall and nowhere near as wide.

We've rediscussed this issue though and he's probably going with the 35x15.50s

i HAVE a TH350/203, but im picking up the SM465/NP205 this weekend that will be going in the truck. after a long discussion with Tim, and looking at several pics, i just dont think the 36s are what im looking for. i'll probably be ordering a set of 35s later this week.
