4:10 gears, 35 SSR's = speedometer re calibration options?

    4:10 gears, 35 SSR\'s = speedometer re calibration options?

    My new 88 K5 has 700r4, np208, 4:10's and 35" SSR's. is there any way to get the speedometer back to normal? I can't tell how fast I'm going, and cops love how tall my new ride is /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. please help..

    Yes. YOu have the change the speedo gear in the transfer case. Very easy to do.

    This one would look kind of funny with the running boards on it, thanks for keeping up though. I think I'm gonna get a rope ladder for the little lady to get in and out...

    Ok this gear calculator helps a little, but do I have to replace both gears in the tail shaft or just the driven gear? Are there any special tools needed to do the job? Where is the best place to pick the replacement gear(s) up?
