    4.11 Gears for 10-Bolt Front and 12-Bolt Rear \'77 K5

I need to regear my rig, and I'm broke. I'm hoping someone has one or the other or both that I could pull the gears, bearings, and shims out of myself so that I can reinstall them in the same order. I know it sounds nuts, but I've done it a million times and never had any problems, as long as you reassemble everything in your new housing the way it came out of its original housing.

So anyone have any part of this insanity??? /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

You have just been lucky /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Have you thought about buying a few lotto tickes /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif The housings are not all the same and the shims are there to make up for the difference in machining tolerances. You want to at least check the pattern after assembly and see how close you actually are /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

If you can't find the 4.11 stuff, check out a post in the For Sale forum by schneggie. He's got a 4.56 gearset for your 12-bolt, and a Detroit Locker. Find some 4.56's for the front and you'll have a sweet setup. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

    HEY GUY! I'll got a set of 12bolt 4.10's

I bought a set of 4.10 10bolt front and 4.10 12bolt rear but I'm thinking I may use the front gears and not the rear 12bolt stuff. If you want both sets shoot me a PM, maybe we can work out a deal for that wiring job! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

PM'd You! This could be a cheap re-gear if I cornswaggle the deal right! (You might be a Redneck if you have ever heard the word 'cornswaggle' before...)
