4.3L/350tbi Swap Problem

    Posting for a friend: He has a '94 350tbi w/ dual exhaust, new wires, plugs, cap/rotor, etc. in'94 S-10 originally 4.3L. Problem is at idle the engine loads up after 15-30 seconds but runs good at higher RPM. Any suggestions? BTW, he is using the ECM from the 4.3L.     I'm no expert but shouldn't the computer make a difference? Try the ECM of a v-8 /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

    you could use the eCM of a 5.7L with same tranny from a caprice or camaro or full size truck, etc. whichever you can find with same tranny model and same engine as you have now and same fuel system type


    i woudl check temp sensors, O2 sensor, Map sensor, and TPS, and clean the IAC real good and the cavitiy it threads into out too
