What vehicles came with 4.56 gearing as a standard package? Looking to find some in a yard or something.

On one ton chevys 4.10 was standard and 4.56 was the option (I think).

I have a 1978 chevy 3/4 ton camper special 8400gvw. When I saw this rusted thing sitting in the guys front yard I stopped. I was looking it over cus it was only $500. He said the motor was tapping and his son drove it into the ocean right off of brigintine beach. That is why it is so rusted..... The back had a 14bolt ff and the front was a dana44. When I crawled up under the truck I looked at the tag hanging on by one of the bolts it said..... " 4.55 " I got up and went to the bank to get the cash.... stock with 4.56's as a 3/4 ton and creeper gear... I took a mustang 5.0 off the line but he clean swept me from there out.. I saw him at the next light and he wouldnt even look my way..... I wonder if he ever told his friends that a muddy pickup took his stang off the line......?????

well I didnt answer your question but told you what I found... hope it helps...
    Peace
