Don't quote me on this- BUT I have a 4+3 and I can, mine's an 86, so who knows..I guess it has a lot to do with the condition of the springs etc.. how saggy your truck is and that sort of thing. do a search on "What tires will fit" and you'll be suprised at the contradictions! Just don't get upset if someone says they will fit, and they don't,,, or vise versa, that's happened before too!

I got 4 + 3 on my burban, I put on my buddys 35s and they rubbed up front due to turning and articulation.

Part depends on the wheels and tires not all 35"s are really 35"s tall. And the back spacing and width of the wheel has some to do with it. Also depends on the width of the front axle. 3/4 ton front axles are wider than 1/2 ton fronts. Then the other thing is how and where you drive it. A bolevard crusier will get away with stuff that a real off road truck can't cause it don't get all crossed up like a trail rig might. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

go with shackle flips or add-a-leaf, bodys are cheap and easy but can me difficult and cause problems.

just curious as to what are the major problems associated with body lifts. Everybody always says go suspension, but what is the big problem with body lifts? I understand they aren't going to help flex, but they do get the body out of the way of the meats.

doesnt have to be a junker to trim, you can do a very nice trim job like project UAV, his rig is very nice and clean, and also a daily driver. heavy duty shackles and a add-a leaf. may work

Re: 4\" suspension plus 3\" body lift?

my problem with my body lift on a 73 3/4 ton was with the stearing, stearing was never the same it had ruff spots almost felt like humps, high center of gravity, some people said that it makes it weaker, becasue the bolts are longer and can break, im not sure about that one. body lift also open up ur engine under the wheel well, if u dont replace ur hoses and lines it can stretch those, when u move the body up the radiator fan doesnt sit in the center anymore. those are just a few things i noticed.. jsut my opinion on them if you can avaiod them i would.
