I'm not sure if maybe this is just a standard occurrence 'caused by high RPM or something, but if I'm in 4 low and in first gear my service engine light will turn on. Then just as soon as I shift to second it turns off again. I haven't tried getting the error code out of it yet. But it's an '87 K5 with the stock OHV Eight-cylinder 350 cid., automatic (TH700-R4) and NP208 transfer case.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

TThat sounds fishy to me. Probably some sort of bad switch or something. I have never had good luck with that light. Weird thing is it hasn.t gone on in a long time. It used to go on every once in a while...
