i only shop their cause they have three stores within driving distance from my house (farthest about 45 min, closest around 10-15 minutes) so i dont order through their mag.

I really kind of get tired of people dissing 4WPW. I have been shopping there for over 12 years. Spent probably more than $10,000 total over that time. Never once have I had them screw up an order. But they are a big chain. Search enough and you will find that every place has probably screwed up somebody's order at some time. And some people just have all the luck with certain vendors.

But most of the times I have dealt with 4WPW, I have found them to be knowledgeable and helpful. Now don't get me wrong, some of them would probably ask you if you wanted the 8' or 10' length 4x4 (LOL), but most are pretty good. And on many things, you just can't beat there prices.

I went to their store locally the other day and got tow hooks for $3.95 each. Know of anywhere else where you can get a 10,000 black tow hook for that? I don't. And, I got a 60" cast hi-lift jack for $59.99. Anywhere else wanted quite a bit more. Even their website had them for $69.95. Now they aren't the best for everything. I got a set of Bushwacker flares from Central4WD for $318 and they paid shipping. 4WPW wanted $323 plus tax and it was going to take them a week or two to get them from their California warehouse. I ordered from Central 4WD on Monday and had them on Friday.

well would you rather shop at wal-mart or mike's deli for your sandwich meat? Wal-mart has the selection and if you know what you want, it's great. Sure you've gotta watch your back on charges, and service sucks, but it's got its place.

Now Mike's deli has slightly higher prices, but the meat is always fresh. You can sample different ones before buying. You can get advice as to what's good. Service rocks, and you're helping the little guy get a toe hold.

Same thing here, I'll buy from my local places before I'll even consider 4WPW, but every once in a while I have to go there cause they stock everything and I need it NOW. When I do, I just watch my back and hope not to get screwed AGAIN!

Shop around the web and find the lowest price. Print it out and they will match it. They will not give club discounts when they match the price. It will still be cheaper than 10% off their normal price.

I don't need no damn shop manual, I got a pornographic memory.

I assume the discount is valid in-person, as opposed to just ordering online?? Im gonna have to go buy some stuff..

btw Ive had pretty good luck with 4wheel parts .... ive had them beat summits price on stuff, now you know it aint getting cheaper than that.

ill buy from them again.. plus theres a really hot girl working in the store in my neighborhood :) they know whats up and what keeps customers coming back.. well, some of the customers anyway
